How to split a PDF

Split PDF is only available on our Pro, Business or Enterprise plans. To try it out, start a free trial and upload the PDF you want to split or extract.
Page Tools
Open your file in Lumin and click ‘Page Tools’ in the top right of your screen. Select ‘Split/Extract pages’ from the menu on the left.
Split PDF
Enter the page numbers you wish to split from the document, and hit ‘Extract’. Done!

Is Lumin free?
Lots of our tools are free. You can draw on PDFs, comment on them, add text, signatures and images; all the basics are covered.
Unfortunately, Split PDF is not a free tool. You will need to be on the Pro or Business plan to split or extract pages from a PDF. Discover our plans to learn which one is the right fit for you.
How do I use Lumin?
The Lumin app works on your browser, or you can download our desktop app and keep Lumin handy on your computer. We’ve also got a mobile and tablet app which includes our most popular features.
Can I just split a PDF and go?
Yes. You need to create an account in order to use Lumin, but it’s easily done and you’ll be accessing the Split PDF function in no time. Remember, Split PDF requires a Pro or Business plan to use - how about getting a free trial to see if it's worth it?
Can I split a JPG?
Yes, you can split and extract parts of your JPG using the Split tool. However, when you download it from Lumin it will be a PDF - you may need to convert it back to JPG.
